Robert Frost was born in San Fransisco on
March 26th. Frost's father was a teacher and
an editor for a San Fransisco newspaper until
his untimely death in 1885. The Frost family
then relocated to Massachusetts.
Frost's career as a poet took off following
a trip to England with his family, where he
was introduced to Ezra Pound. Frost bought
a farm in New Hampshire and began writing
extensively.
Over the course of his life, Frost won four
Pulitzer prizes for his poems. When he died
in 1963, he was already established as one of
America's greatest poets.
